Week 3 Update

The Shine A Light performance was held in the Hall this week. You can see some of the students dressed up to help the performers.

Two of the performers on stage.

We have been writing and learning speeches for the last three weeks . We wrote speeches about three careers we would like or three wishes we would like. After writing our speeches we summarised them onto Cue Cards to help us remember what to say. While we are practising we had a buddy assess our work and then we worked out what we had to work on next. The following pictues show some of us practising with our cue cards.

Lined Landscapes activity for Art. We used lines of different thicknesses to create a landscape.  The differences in the thicknesses help give the picture a 3 Dimensional appearance. The next few pictures show examples of our work.

Congratulations to Austin for receiving a certificate in Assembly this week.

Collage Koru in Week 3

Information by Oscar and Aidan.
This term our topic for Visual Art  is Collage . We had a magazine page to rip into mosaic sized pieces and  then glued these pieces onto a Koru shape. We had to rip the magazine pieces of paper into pieces  about the size of our thumbs.  We could only slightly over lap the pieces as we glued them on. We are very proud of our mosaics!
