What has Room 12 been up to in Week 4?

The next few photos show us continuing our cricket skills with Garfield. First we practised catching a ball with our hands ready. Then we had to keep stepping back to make the gap wider. It got harder and harder to catch the ball!

These photos show Zac and Grace throwing the ball correctly. Much harder than it looks!

We had a day experimenting with clay. We made pinch pots, coil pots, animals and finally a model of our own choice. A big thank you to Rose for providing us with her shed to store the equipment.

Experimenting with the clay. We learnt how to use slurry (a watery mixture of clay and water) to join our models together.

Harry is rolling out the clay.

Merika has made a pinch pot.

Some models that Miss Peterson showed us to give us ideas about what to make.

Oscar with his vase.

Isaac with his nest of eggs.

The Duathlon was held at school on Thursday. Zac, Owen, Harry Trott , Ethan and Chloe took part. Here they are lining up waiting to start.

Waiting!

Ready to start.

Room 12 came out to watch their class mates.

Owen, Harry and Ethan after they had finished. Awesome job guys!

Room 4 presented Assembly this week.

Harry Tabener received the Student of the Week award from Mr Melrose in Assembly.

Congratulations Harry!

Sam King from Room 6 visited us on Friday.

Congratulations April for receiving your certificate in Assembly on Friday.

  1. Hi room 12. The cricket practice looks like a lot of fun. Maybe there are some young black caps or white ferns in your class. :)
